Trapped inside a solid mental cage
Blinded by what is a foolish rage

Distrusting both religion and science
We are prone to give in to despair
As we live here in the devil's lair

Hope ignored by a darkness within
We listen but fail to hear

Life produces desperate sounds
As all of our fears are captured

All of our questions are answered
As we become cast away from the truth
Then we realize there is no proof
We've been condemned for thoughts

In misery, selfishness and chance
