Creation's Guiding Hand

After the planets and galaxies, a pause, God then began with stars
Then lingered in the echoes of the mists, at the beginning of time
Then watched, life seemed to rise from nothing, in clay and spark
The Creator then gave life eternity's kiss, the immaculate design
In a moment, creation reflected the creator, reveled in each heart
The universe is alive, it has purpose, it reflects perfection's guide
In the vastness of existence, we know a little, but hope isn't far
With nothing we can control, not even a destination of our soul
And we step forward, into the unknown, the great leap, to know
Eternity echoes, eternity calls, so unready, when we know awe
Even the simplest plant, grass bows to the wind
Aware of the maker's hand, and our soul within

“If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself, tell yourself
that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches; for to the creator there
is no poverty and no poor indifferent place.”                 Rainer Maria Rilke
