The Guardian Fortress

Snow and winds have worn the walls away
Aged and formidable still, it watches the day
Like a guardian preventing attack from forces
To go around isn't difficult for the horsemen
And the walls remain in place, steady, thick
Constructed of stone, boulder and even brick
Defending the people, the lord, they've fought
The watchmen in the tower, upon the walls
Dare not daydream nor linger in thought,
They are dutiful, always answered the call
