Bursting Into Existence

I didn't understand what it would mean to be a parent
A wild fire of destruction and joy arrived in your name
You were the moment of perfection I can't begin to describe
I'm far from royal born, but you are my heir apparent
The inner cauldron of creative fire in you can't be tamed
You've been the one reason I was ever given life
The chaotic star who flashed across the night's sky
I'm only a father, because you are my son
The most worthy tapestry woven in gold
God's master hand shown to me, his work is done
You've renewed my spirit, even as my flesh has grown old

“I say unto you: one must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. I say unto you: you still have chaos in yourselves.”  Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
