A Hunger

Hunger had become my curse
A ravenous appetite will burn
I am in constant need, no relief
I've never become at all sated
I need to end it, quit my demon
Or it'll quit me, through my pain
Just for today, one day I'll wait
Please God, please have mercy
Just put me out of this pain
