These men fought for a people, as armed saints
Taking nothing in return, they'd meant only well
Defending the poor and meek, with arms and war
When the harvesters took lives and removing gold
All were turned back, fleeing from fields in defeat
Saints lived among those they'd helped after war
Of the tales they avoided what people would tell
How these armed men fought and left many scars
But in darkness the foe again rose, in winds cold
The saints had somehow renewed people and land
Giving of a future, the band of men fought well
Knowing the future is bright, by works of the hand
And they fought again, at last, to let the others live
As life has little else, but to love, and to forgive
