In the Waiting Place

Walking through the tall grass, only the wind blowing for sound
I'm all alone and reach for your hands, without reaching yours
Only echoes of a single heart, beating, sacred ground
A chill covers me, here in this holy place meant for more
Living so far from here, I live in empty solitude
And I know now, I am not enough, and it breaks my heart
A mist lifts and the fog leaves a cloak upon my shoulders
I'm hidden and in a coma, with nothing left to lose
