In the quiet memories

To grieve, some people choose to retreat
And they lose contact as others move on
Others don't know the loss, or how it felt
With no hope upon the morning horizon
That life lost calls out, amidst the defeat
Death isn't something feared, no not now
There's no fear, only of being left behind
Again by an other like one once loved
There is only exhausted thoughts
