Walking through a cloud of dust
Late in the day, nearly dusk
So parched my throat wants to cry
Land and river beds dry
So I stop and kneel and say a prayer
And that moment I am fixated there
Turn my head and stare above
At the cloudburst of rain
It must be love
All of my days pass by
Like sand through my hand
I refuse to die
This life anything but planned
But I cannot deny
That I've been stranded
My path gone awry
Alone I await
Welcome the future
As time ticks
I remain au fait
While the final chime strikes
As this world
Is swallowed and destroyed
By the destiny, fate
And human pride
