Every death is the same death

Some were offered as the spotless and pure lamb
Others stood above others, mocked God's desire
One would be taken, broken, ultimately damned
Others would be given a place of honor, inspired
All who had died as sacrifice, from death's touch
Died as children of the maker, full of spirit's fire
For all life comes as works of art from the creator
Released from a struggle, freed from a deep mire
We are children of the creator's will, ever after
Lives lost grieve him, more than we can know
Small lives, small beings, more than we know
Also die and are grieved more than even matters
