Through the Window

A conspiracy of ravens, gather upon a ledge looking out
There are others across the way, chattering, staring out
As humans on the street below, wonder upon the sound
The ravens see smoke rising, and movement afar
They call out, if listening, humans might learn
Ravens are seen by humans as being odd or unique
Some fear them, some stereotype them as evil
But ravens are cousins to humans, living with us
Since the world's beginning, our companions
Watchers of the world, shadowing humans
Wise and divine in an ability to help us
