Didn't like the idea of working late
But it didn't matter to the business
It had books needing to be finished
Policies to be written fully
And contacts to be made
But the family man was distracted
His will had to be enacted
Or he'd have said things he'd regret
And his secretary would have said yes
If only he'd asked
But he outlasted his urges
By concentrating on work
