They arrived far too long ago to remember
Cast from a distant and strange universe
The deep ones were brought to earth
when alien gods fell from the sky
They settled in the ocean where the coastal towns
Bore witness to the curse
That humans were both flesh to feed them
As well as breeding stock for the deep ones to breed with
They had no morals to stray from, no higher purpose to rise to
They spoke no clear words with their mouths
As if they were speaking in tongues
The humans had no way of knowing
What the deep ones wanted or were saying
In time humans replied with cannon and guns
Slaying the darkness fallen to the shore
Cursing their villages
When deep ones hungered to spawn
The humans had crushed the fish men
But while they celebrated now
Soon would learn to dread
Every poisoned newborns
Who bore the dna of the ones from the ocean
And if one should pass as fully human
They would then infect, infest again
In the silence of the slaughter
Of the Deep Ones
And thereafter to the evil hybrids
Implanted with the need to spawn
The horror had only just begun
