Scimitar Moon
He waits for the chance to prove himself
But those who he serves hope
That he does not have to do that
A warrior's burden is
Honor and boredom
To remain taut with agility and strength
Despite the weariness of duty
The inactivity making you fat
He serves in truth
Hoping to prove himself worthy
To be, for just one moment
The one the master deems good
Faithful and unshaken
That one chance to be
More than his entire life has made him
He waits for that time but
The urgency of the boredom
Reminds him
That his role is one
Without reward
Outside of knowing
By his presence
He won't need to be the one
Deemed worthy
