Industrial Vulgarity

The whole earth, burned to a cinder
Forests ground into mulch
Smoke pouring through the skies,
Dreams die and trees are screaming
Nothing left now for the legacies
Nothing left to our children
The brown dominates the globe
Behind the industries of destruction
We linger in our leisures, our choices
Our pleasures, our treasons
To our children, who echo our voice
Our world is what we’ve become
Empty and wasted
